About me…

Therapy can transform people’s lives.

I have a direct, “no BS” approach that differs from many therapists.  I empathize and support my clients 100%, but I am going to hold you accountable.  I’m not just going to tell you what you want to hear.

I will encourage and push you to overcome the barriers that have to this point prevented you from living the life that you want. Therapy can be one of the most rewarding processes you undertake, but it is hard work!

Sometimes we need support and understanding.  Sometimes we need to learn and build insight.  Sometimes we need a kick in the butt.

I combine building an understanding of the past with a focus on the present and what tangible things we do NOW to make changes.  Gaining insight into why things happened is an important part of the puzzle, but what are you going to DO about it?

About me…

I received my Masters degree (counseling, clinical psych, sports/exercise psych) from Oregon State Univ.  My Bachelors degree (psychology) from Metropolitan State Univ. of Denver.  I am also an Affiliate Professor (psychology) at Metro State.
